Job summary

The role requires reading technical drawings, monitoring machine performance, and conducting quality inspections to ensure parts are burr-free and dimensionally correct.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of laser machine operations and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
• Good understanding of quality standards and production procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify the correct material for production requirements
• Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to specifications
• Load and manage machine programs accurately
• Interpret technical drawings and job cards to ensure precise cutting of components
• Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient, accurate, and error-free operation
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts are burr‑free, dimensionally correct, and meet quality standards
• Ensure correct quantities are produced and recorded
• Pack completed components in accordance with the One Job One Pallet procedure
• Complete production and quality control documentation accurately
• Ensure materials are loaded and handled correctly to avoid damage or production delays
• Maintain production targets and minimise material wastage
• Report machine faults, defects, or production concerns to the relevant Supervisor
