Job summary

Assign Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Blending Operator to support our production line in Pretoria. You will verify raw material quantities against batching sheets and formulations, prepare and record process documentation, and ensure equipment cleanliness before and after blending.

You will also select materials per FIFO/FEFO, execute blending to maintain flow and meet deadlines, and manage allergen and contamination risks in line with FSMS requirements.

Qualifications

• Verify quantities of raw materials in accordance with batching sheets and formulations.
• Complete all relevant production process documentation accurately and ensure timely submission of all required records.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of all blending equipment before and after production.
• Ensure correct raw materials are selected and picked in accordance with FIFO/FEFO principles and picking slips.
• Ensure blending operations are planned and executed efficiently to maintain smooth production flow and achieve targets and deadlines.
• Ensure all blenders are cleaned according to FSMS requirements and manage allergen and contamination risks.
• Report errors in batch or blending process sheets and escalation defects in raw materials, food safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Document production processes accurately and submit records on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of blending equipment before/after production.
• Select and pick raw materials following FIFO/FEFO and slips.
• Plan and execute blending to keep production flowing and meet targets.
• Clean blenders per FSMS; manage allergen/contamination risks.
• Report batch errors and escalate material or food safety issues.
