Job summary

SAB is seeking a Finance professional to manage fixed asset controls, inventory governance and tax compliance at the plant level. You will support the Plant PPM Manager with VIC analysis, monthly financial reporting and cost allocations in line with global VIC definitions.

This role requires a relevant degree, 2+ years in manufacturing finance, and experience in product costing and consolidation. You will work with SAP FI/CO and SAP BW, in a dynamic SAB environment in South Africa.

Qualifications

• 3-year university degree in accounting, business, economics, engineering or similar.
• 2+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in product costing and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of general accounting and consolidation practices.
• Project management, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in ERP environments and process orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed asset controls and inventory governance at plant level.
• Review VIC components of P&L for accurate cost allocation.
• Prepare weekly VIC performance analyses and monthly reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Plant PPM Manager and stakeholders for reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS or applicable legislation and internal controls.
• Conduct asset and inventory reconciliations and variance analyses.

The Key Purpose of this role is to manage fixed asset controls, inventory governance, and tax compliance at plant level, ensuring adherence to financial policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls. The role supports the Plant PPM Manager with VIC analysis and monthly financial reporting, while reviewing the VIC component of the P&L to ensure accurate cost allocation, compliance with global VIC definitions, and the integrity of financial results.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Fixed asset reporting.
• Case reviews including pre & post project reviews.
• Assets under construction monthly follow ups.
• Capitalisation reviews and requests (in accordance to IFRS or applicable legislation).
• Inventory control effectiveness review.
• Calculate monthly WIP balance and reconcile to SAP.
• Stock count compliance reporting.
• Engineering spares cyclecounts.
• Engineering spares aging review.
• Review and approving of the engineering spares write off account.
• Ensuring that provision for aged stock is released by COF.
• Reviewing and providing commentary on all inventory count differences write offs.
• Excise return reviews.
• Decant compliance (i.e. SARS callouts for verification).
• Facilitate SARS annual / bi annual reviews.
• Ensure an effective control and governance environment is maintained at the plant.
• Completion of brewing and packaging VIC performance analysis and understandingof drivers.
• Discussing VIC performance on a weekly bases with all relevant stakeholders and ensure pro active support is provided as well as ad hoc reports and problem solving.
• Drive financial performance through effective business partnering, tracking value creation initiatives, and providing insights and support to operational stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit weekly brewery VIC performance reports, including commentary and latest estimates (LEs), and perform monthly reconciliations for utility usage, pricing, and VIC additive rates.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of stock-related accounting by completing reconciliations for returnable packaging (RBs, kegs, and crates), validating MBF charges against SAP postings, and resolving identified variances.
• Prepare detailed VIC latest estimates for review by the Plant PPM Manager and support compliance with MICS, ICE, and other internal control requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Source-to-Pay processes for all ZBB costs by monitoring committed expenditure, following up on overdue GRNs, and ensuring goods receipts are processed in accordance with company policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant 3-year university degree in i.e. in accounting, business, economics, engineering or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in finance in a manufacturing environment
