Job summary

Placements24 client seeks a skilled Power Systems Technician to join their operations team in Tembisa. You will install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment across energy facilities to ensure reliable power distribution.

You will read schematics, use meters and diagnostic gear, and uphold safety standards. The role offers hands-on work in Gauteng with opportunities for development and overtime.

Qualifications

  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification (e.g., Electrician).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with electrical power systems, preferably in an industrial or utility setting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety principles and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, often under time constraints and in challenging conditions.
