Placements24 is seeking a Senior Grid Integration Engineer to optimize renewable energy connections to the national grid from its Pretoria office. The role focuses on advanced technical analysis, grid stability, and regulatory compliance.

You'll collaborate with utilities, project developers, and regulators, applying power systems modeling and safety standards to enable reliable generation and energy transition in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in grid integration or planning.
• Experience with power system modeling software (PSS/E, PowerFactory).
• Knowledge of grid interconnection standards and renewable energy technologies.
• Strong ability to manage complex projects and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a regulatory environment.
