Job summary

iOCO Limited in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer/Consultant to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions that turn complex data into insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders, data teams and tech peers to deliver intuitive dashboards and reports.

The role requires strong hands-on Power BI, DAX, and data modelling skills, with solid SQL experience and an ability to translate business needs into technical solutions across sources and platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query / M.
• Experience with data modelling and dimensional modelling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Gather and translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
• Build and optimise data models using Power BI and Power Query.
• Develop DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs.
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL databases, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and modelling.
• Ensure dashboards are accurate, scalable, and user-friendly.
• Optimise Power BI reports and datasets for performance.
• Implement row-level security and data access controls.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders.
• Support deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions.
• Provide documentation and user support where required.
