About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and promising Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join their leading Oncology research group in Soweto . This position offers an exceptional opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research focused on understanding cancer biology and developing novel therapeutic strategies. You will work under the guidance of experienced principal investigators on challenging research projects, contributing to the generation of high-impact data and publications. Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret experiments related to cancer cell signaling, tumor microenvironment, or drug resistance mechanisms.
• Perform a variety of laboratory techniques including cell culture, molecular biology assays, protein analysis, and potentially in vivo studies.
• Maintain meticulous records of experiments, analyze data using appropriate statistical methods, and present findings at lab meetings and scientific conferences.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the research team and contribute to a positive lab culture.
• Stay abreast of current literature in oncology and related fields, bringing new ideas and approaches to the research.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed publications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Oncology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related life science discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in cancer research with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
