Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Lambton Gardens, Gauteng seeks a reputable Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic Qualified (PBQ) to support the dispensary. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, assisting with dispensing, prescription reading, and patient counselling while maintaining stock and administration tasks.

Minimum requirements include matric, a PBQ qualification, SAPC registration and willingness to work retail hours.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 / Matric and a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification.
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is mandatory.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispensing under direct supervision of a pharmacist according to SOPs.
• Accurately interpret prescriptions, pick, pack, label and check medications.
• Provide patient instructions and information to promote health.
• Handle administration for claims submission to medical schemes.
• Maintain patient profiles and stock control within the dispensary.
• Deliver customer service at the dispensary, front-shop and self-medication counter.
