Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited invites applications for a Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic Qualified (PBQ) for our Table View store in Cape Town. You will dispense medications, provide pharmaceutical expertise, and ensure the safe use of prescribed medicines under direct supervision.

The role requires a Post Basic PBQ and SAPC registration, with willingness to work retail hours. Knowledge of Unisolve/SAP and customer service excellence are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric required
• Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret scripts and verify patient details on the system
• Assist with dispensing, labeling and preparation of medications under pharmacist supervision
• Provide patient instructions and information to promote health and safe medicine use
• Manage stock, ordering and reconciliation of medicines
• Process paperwork for medical scheme claims and approvals
• Deliver customer service at the dispensary, counter and front shop
