Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited in Vorna Valley is seeking a Post Basic Qualified Pharmacist Assistant to perform duties under the direct personal supervision of a pharmacist in the dispensary, delivering excellent customer service.

You will assist with sale of medicines, stock management, prescription preparation, labeling and patient guidance, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards and contributing to a smooth dispensary operation.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Mathematics, Life Science and/or Physical Science with at least 50% average.
• Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification.
• Computer and numerical skills.
• Advantageous: knowledge of Unisolv and E-Scripting.

Responsibilities

• Assist under direct supervision of a pharmacist in dispensing and stock control.
• Read and prepare prescriptions and label medicines.
• Provide patient instructions and health information.
• Assist with stock management and ensure accuracy.
• Support in re-packaging of medicines and assisting at front shop.
