Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics and Distribution Planner for operations in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This on-site role focuses on developing distribution plans, optimizing transport, and coordinating with warehouses and carriers to ensure timely delivery.

You will analyze logistics data, manage third-party relationships, and align distribution strategies with sales and operations. A strong port/Coastal logistics background and Excel proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years in logistics planning or distribution management.
• Experience in port or coastal environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with logistics planning software and Excel.
• Relevant degree or diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics and distribution plans for Richards Bay.
• Optimize routes to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs and carriers.
• Coordinate with warehouses for inbound/outbound flow.
• Monitor shipments and address delays.
• Analyze data to identify cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and customs.
• Maintain logistics documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with sales and ops to align strategies.
