Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer with a logistics focus to optimize the flow of goods, information, and resources across the supply chain in Soweto. You will analyze current logistics processes, design improved systems, and implement solutions to streamline operations from procurement to delivery.

The role emphasizes warehouse and transportation optimization, simulation-driven decision making, and collaboration with multiple partners to drive cost efficiency and KPI improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on logistics and supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency with supply chain management software and logistics analysis tools, including WMS/TMS.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Design improved material handling systems and warehouse layouts.
• Use simulation and modeling tools to evaluate proposed changes on logistics performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to coordinate supply chain activities.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for logistics and supply chain operations.
