Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Cleaning Supervisor for Richards Bay port facilities in KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee sanitation operations, ensure safety and efficiency, and lead a cleaning team in a demanding port environment.

The role requires at least 4 years in industrial cleaning, with 2 years in supervision, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and the ability to coordinate with port authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in industrial cleaning with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience in port/industrial environments is advantageous.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safe use.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the industrial cleaning team at Richards Bay port.
• Ensure facilities, equipment, and vessels are cleaned per safety standards.
• Develop and implement port-specific cleaning schedules.
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce port safety regulations and chemical handling protocols.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Perform quality checks and address deficiencies promptly.
• Train new team members on cleaning techniques and safety.
• Coordinate with port authorities and stakeholders on cleaning activities.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and equipment maintenance.
