Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Sanitation Supervisor to oversee sanitation operations in Richards Bay. You will lead a team of sanitation technicians, develop daily to monthly sanitation plans, and ensure hygiene and safety standards are met in a demanding industrial environment.

You will train and schedule staff, supervise equipment maintenance, manage chemical inventories, and enforce company sanitation policies. Flexibility for weekends is required as needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in sanitation or cleaning supervision.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and safety regulations.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and maintenance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise a team of sanitation technicians, ensuring performance standards are met.
• Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation plans and schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify and address hygiene or safety concerns.
• Ensure all sanitation equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and operated safely.
• Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals and supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures related to sanitation and safety.
