Job summary

Blupool Services (Pty) Ltd in Durban North is seeking a proactive Construction Project Coordinator to manage multiple live construction projects, ensuring plans, prerequisites, and stakeholders stay informed and aligned.

You will coordinate teams, vehicles, materials, suppliers and contractors, keeping sites ready before work starts and escalating risks early. Site supervisors handle technical sign-offs and guidance.

• Strong organisational and planning ability.

• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Confidence dealing with clients, suppliers and staff.
• Ability to manage several live projects and competing priorities.
• Habit of identifying problems before delays.
• Strong computer literacy and willingness to work within structured systems.
• Discipline in keeping tasks, dates and outstanding actions up to date.
• Ability to work under pressure in a construction environment.
• Valid driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Keep project tasks, dates, dependencies, blockers and next actions current in Zoho Projects.
• Coordinate multiple active construction and renovation projects at once.
• Coordinate construction teams, supervisors, vehicles, materials, suppliers and contractors.
• Confirm each site is ready before work is scheduled.
• Prepare and communicate the next day's construction programme.
• Ensure materials, access, drawings, client selections, approvals and phase sign-offs are in place before work proceeds.
• Follow up suppliers and contractors to prevent delays.
• Provide clear progress updates to clients on upcoming work and revised dates.
• Track client concerns and resolve issues.
• Assist in preparing and checking project budgets for approvals.
• Escalate missing approvals, delays, conflicts and risks early.
• Keep records, photos, documents and history up to date.
• Work closely with site supervisors and management to move projects to programme.
