Job summary

Bidvestfacilitiesmanagement seeks a Plumbing Supervisor to oversee plumbing operations for residential and commercial projects, coordinate installations and repairs, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will lead a team of plumbers, review drawings, manage inventory, liaise with clients and engineers, and schedule maintenance and emergency repairs while maintaining documentation and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in plumbing installation and repair with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Valid plumbing trade qualification and a driver's license.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily plumbing activities, ensuring effective workflow and project completion.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of plumbers, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
• Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing installations and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations, maintaining all necessary documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety practices and quality of work performed.
• Manage inventory and order materials necessary for plumbing projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and contractors to facilitate project discussions and resolve any issues.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance and emergency repair services as required, ensuring swift resolution of plumbing issues.
