Job summary

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa is seeking a Real-time Control Systems Engineer to monitor and optimise manufacturing control systems. You will diagnose faults, analyze data, and support process improvements across PLC, SCADA, HMI and MES environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Wonderware System Platform, Siemens S7 and other PLC/SCADA tools within GMP or ISO 9001 settings. Permanent position with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum: N6 or National Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Process Control, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics.
• Preferred: National Diploma or BTech in Electrical/Control/Process Engineering.
• 3–5 years in a process control, automation, or instrumentation role in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Experience with SCADA (Wonderware System Platform), HMI, and PLC (Siemens S7); GMP/ISO 9001 background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support process control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, MES).
• Perform routine diagnostics and troubleshoot control faults.
• Ensure data logging, trending and reporting systems are accurate.
• Analyse production data to identify deviations and improvement opportunities.
• Support advanced control strategies to stabilise and optimise operations.
