Job summary

S4 Integration (Pty) Ltd. in Pretoria is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Application Engineer to join our team.

The role covers programming and configuring PLCs (Siemens and Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and producing technical procedures for applications. The successful candidate will support on-site installations and commissioning across Gauteng, travel as required, and work with systems integration, wiring of industrial equipment, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of field service or equipment maintenance experience.
• Willing to travel within South Africa; moderate travel required.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Hands-on wiring experience with industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, networking, and power distribution in system integration.

About Role

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Application Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The position involves programming & configuration of PLC’s (mainly Siemens and Allen-Bradley), HMI development, troubleshooting and/or repair. The successful candidate will also be expected to write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.

This is an opportunity to work on challenging projects with some of the biggest names in the automotive industry

Responsibilities

• Offline PLC Programming / Development
• Support local installations / equipment commissioning on projects in the Gauteng region
• Ability to work under minimal supervision

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in field service or equipment maintenance in a related industry
• Willing and able to travel within South Africa (A moderate amount of travel is required)
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Hands on experience in wiring of industrial equipment
• Familiarity with many aspects of systems integration (including PLC, HMI, networking, communication, power distribution)
