Job summary

Jendamark Automation in South Africa seeks a Control Systems Engineer to design, develop and commission world-class automated manufacturing systems across local and international projects.

You'll progress toward a Control Systems Supervisor role, leading programming teams and mentoring engineers while delivering projects on time and to high standards. Strong problem-solving and travel readiness are valued.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Approximately 3–5 years of industrial automation experience.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA software for automated systems.
• Design control philosophies and machine sequences.
• Configure industrial networks and fieldbus systems.
• Integrate robots, vision systems, motion control and measurement equipment.
• Test and commission equipment locally and internationally.
• Support customers during installation and production ramp-up.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve software standards and engineering efficiency.
• Lead small programming teams and coordinate milestones.
