Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vibrant Early Childhood Educator with a specialization in Play-Based Learning for our Klerksdorp facility. You will design play experiences that spark curiosity, support social skills, and guide exploration in line with constructivist learning principles.

You will document children's progress, engage with parents, and collaborate with a team to create a nurturing, resource-rich environment that supports holistic development in the North West province of South Africa.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
• Experience implementing play-based learning methodologies.
• Deep understanding of child development and learning theories.
• Strong observational and documentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement play-based learning experiences that cater to children's interests and developmental needs.
• Observe and document children's learning processes, adapting activities to support individual progress.
• Create a safe, engaging, and inspiring learning space that encourages exploration and collaboration.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and learning journey.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure a cohesive and enriching program for all children.
