Platform Product Manager — Payments & APIs

Job summary

Kraken is seeking a product manager to shape the Payward payments platform, working on backend and integration surfaces through hosted pages, SDKs, and APIs. You will align internal clients, drive a high-impact roadmap, and partner with engineering to deliver scalable, multi-tenant payments infrastructure.

You will own end-to-end client experience, collaborate with banking/partners, and ensure compliance and risk requirements are incorporated early in the roadmap, enabling safer and faster

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform, API or infrastructure roles with internal clients.
• Working knowledge of payments: pay-ins/payments, PSPs, bank rails, and money flows between them.
• Strong technical fluency; ability to read RFCs, challenge architecture, and write API specs.
• Experience shipping developer-facing products such as APIs, SDKs, or embeddable UI components.
• Clear, structured writing for diverse stakeholders.
• Skill at managing many stakeholders with different priorities without direct authority.
• Comfort working with data to set goals and measure adoption and performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the Payward payments platform and its integration surfaces.
• Map requirements across internal clients and evolve the platform to support more use cases.
• Partner with engineering to turn vision into a sequenced, high-impact roadmap.
• Prioritize across client needs, visualize trade-offs, and say no with rationale.
• Shape the client experience end-to-end from first conversation to go-live.
• Collaborate with banking and partnerships to build new PSP/bank integrations on the platform.
• Incorporate compliance, risk, and legal requirements early in the roadmap.
• Set and track platform success metrics like time-to-launch and rails availability.
