Job summary

Share is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to scale its cloud-native infrastructure. You’ll lead the evolution of Kubernetes clusters, containerized services, and API-driven platforms that connect carriers, ISPs, and buyers in a fast-growing marketplace.

You'll own reliability, drive architectural decisions, mentor the team, and collaborate with network and software groups to prevent incidents and deliver robust, scalable infrastructure globally.

Qualifications

About Share

Share is a venture backed company building the marketplace for bandwidth: the infrastructure layer that connects internet capacity suppliers to every individual and business that runs on it.

Today, bandwidth is the most in-demand asset in the world, but its buy/sell process is highly fragmented and inefficiently priced. Share brings the supply and demand together by building distributed routing nodes and connecting carriers, ISPs, data centers, and enterprise buyers through a neutral exchange, turning bandwidth into a liquid, tradeable resource.

We're building the category-defining marketplace for how bandwidth gets bought, sold, and delivered globally.

The Role

Share's infrastructure runs the marketplace: every API call, every monitoring signal, every system that keeps carriers, ISPs, and enterprise buyers transacting without interruption. We're looking for a senior Platform Engineer to scale that infrastructure at the pace the marketplace is growing: modern, cloud-native infrastructure: Kubernetes, cloud architecture, containers and virtualization, and the APIs and DevOps practices holding it all together.

This isn't just an operational role. We need someone who leads, who catches problems before they become incidents, who pushes the team toward better decisions based on knowledge and experience. You'll work alongside our systems engineer and very closely with the network and software teams.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 7+ years of professional systems/infrastructure engineering experience, with real ownership of infrastructure at scale.
• A leadership mindset, not just an operational one; you take responsibility for outcomes, catch issues before they become incidents, and push for the right call for your team and the company.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise: you've deployed, scaled, and debugged production clusters.
• Strong cloud infrastructure experience (GCP preferred): networking, IAM, cost and capacity planning, multi-region architecture.
• Real depth across the full stack, old and new: production Docker and container orchestration, and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V or similar). You're equally comfortable from the VM layer up through containers and orchestration, not specialized in just one.
• Deep production API design and management experience.
• AI-native in your workflow: you've built with these tools, not just used them, and can show the leverage you've gained.
• You ship, and you drive. Handed a systems problem, you scope it, build it, own it through production, and use what you've learned to push the department forward.
