Job summary

Samancor Chrome Ltd. is seeking an Operations Manager PSP to lead Production and Maintenance teams, ensuring safe, cost-effective processes and high-quality finished products.

You will set strategy, manage budgets, drive plant availability and asset reliability, and lead a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires extensive experience in production/maintenance management, strong leadership, and compliance with SHEQ standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or national diploma in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience, with preferably 2 years in a managerial role.
• Demonstrated experience in production and/or maintenance management.
• Experience with IMS, EBMS, Chromedoc, MES, SAP and Coupa would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production processes and annual production strategy.
• Develop and review production budgets and quality targets.
• Oversee maintenance strategy and asset reliability.
• Drive safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) compliance.
• Lead and develop Production and Maintenance teams and recruit as needed.
• Foster continuous improvement and cost-effective operations.
