Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations and Facilities Manager to oversee a production facility and its infrastructure in Mahikeng, North West. This hands-on role requires effective leadership to drive safety, productivity, and continuous improvement on-site.

The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, maintain facilities, and lead a team focused on operational excellence. A strong background in industrial operations and facilities management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Operations Management, Engineering, Facilities Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience with significant facilities management exposure.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; proven decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
• Manage all facility maintenance including buildings, grounds, and utilities.
• Develop and implement SOPs to improve productivity and quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and control budgets for operations and facilities; optimize costs.
• Lead, train, and motivate the operations and facilities team to high performance.
• Oversee vendor management for maintenance, supplies and services.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for equipment and infrastructure.
• Identify and address operational and facility-related issues promptly.
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
