Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join the team in Paarl. You will oversee integrity management, ILI campaigns, data analysis, and risk mitigation to ensure safe, compliant pipeline operation.

The role requires a mechanical or civil engineering background and at least four years in pipeline integrity, with strong analytical and communication skills. Hybrid work model offered; opportunity to influence critical energy transport infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ pipeline engineering or integrity management experience.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.8 and API 1160 standards.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pipeline integrity management plans.
• Plan inline inspection (ILI) campaigns and direct assessment programs.
• Analyze ILI data to identify risks and degradation.
• Recommend repair strategies and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with national and international pipeline safety regulations.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and regulatory teams to address issues.
