TaxTim is seeking a PHP developer to design, build, and maintain internal and client-facing systems. You will write clean, scalable PHP code, follow SOLID practices, and participate in refactoring legacy code into a Symfony-based architecture while contributing to AWS production environments.

The role requires 3+ years of PHP experience, MySQL proficiency, and hands-on MVC framework knowledge (Symfony/Laravel). Fluency in English is essential, with strong collaboration across the team.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of PHP with 3+ years of OOP experience.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL with 3+ years experience.
• Experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Symfony or Laravel) 1+ year.
• Version control with Git 1+ year.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu).
• Creative problem solver with a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain both internal and client-facing functionality from inception through to deployment, full life cycle.
• Write clean, efficient and reusable code, utilizing best practices such as SOLID, DRY and KISS.
• Monitor, test, improve and upgrade existing functionality.
• Assist with refactoring legacy code into a new Symfony based system.
• Assist with maintaining and improving an AWS based production environment.
• Create and consume APIs (both REST and SOAP).
• Work closely with the CTO and the dev team.
