Job summary

A healthcare services company in South Africa is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead and manage a pharmacy team. The role involves ensuring the provision of efficient and professional pharmaceutical services, managing stock, and overseeing departmental budgets and risks. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy / BSc in Pharmacy and have at least 3 years of experience in a community or hospital pharmacy. Supervisory or managerial experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a pharmacist in a community or institutional/hospital pharmacy.
• 3-5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in an institutional/hospital pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the people in the department.
• Manage pharmaceutical stock including own, loan, and consignment.
• Manage and mitigate departmental risks.
• Oversee departmental budgets and finances.
• Deliver a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service.
• Provide an out-patient pharmacy service.
