Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join our client’s safety monitoring team in Bloemfontein. You will collect, assess, and report adverse event data, maintain the safety database, and contribute to regulatory safety reporting to protect patients.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences or related field, at least two years in pharmacovigilance, and familiarity with global regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
- Experience with global pharmacovigilance regulations (e.g., FDA, EMA, SAHPRA).
- Experience with safety databases (Argus, ArisG) is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and assess individual case safety reports (ICSRs) from all sources.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of adverse events to regulatory authorities and business partners.
- Maintain the pharmacovigilance database, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Perform signal detection activities and contribute to signal evaluation reports.
- Assist in the preparation of Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and other safety documents.
- Stay updated on global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines.
