Job summary

Netcare invites applications for a Pharmacist Intern to support dispensing, patient education and interprofessional collaboration in a hospital setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to meet patients’ needs with safe, cost-effective medication management.

Essentially you will assist with dispensing, provide medicine information, and participate in ward rounds and pharmacy services aligned with Netcare policies.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with SA Pharmacy Council in good standing.
• Interest in hospital/clinical pharmacy and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication and supportive services under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist with dispensing and information on medicines to patients and staff.
• Support cost-effective patient care and adherence to pharmacy policy.
