Job summary

Netcare is seeking a Pharmacist Intern to join our team. The role involves providing medication and supplementary services to patients under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist, and assisting with hospital and retail dispensing, including oncology drugs and chemotherapy-related supplies.

You will support stock control, proper storage, and accurate dispensing, while contributing to cost containment and quality assurance within the pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
• B.Pharm degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication and supplementary services to patients under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist.
• Assist with dispensing prescriptions (hospital and retail) under supervision and ensure proper labelling and supply.
• Assist with oncology drugs and chemotherapy related supplies according to policy.
• Support stock control, drug storage, and distribution within the pharmacy.
• Engage in quality and cost containment initiatives and patient safety efforts.
