About the Role

About the Role Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their established laboratory in Rustenburg . You will be responsible for conducting a wide range of analytical tests, meticulously documenting results, and ensuring compliance with stringent industry regulations and internal quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and titration.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards accurately for analytical testing.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
• Document all experimental procedures, results, and observations in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
• Investigate and troubleshoot any Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Review and approve batch records and analytical data.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new analytical methods.
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.

Requirements

• BSc or BPharm degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical quality systems, including GMP, GLP, and pharmacopoeial standards (e.g., USP, EP).
• Experience with wet chemistry techniques and general laboratory practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent documentation and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with data integrity principles.
