Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Process Engineer for our client in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, scale-up, validation, and CAPAs to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.

You will design and improve processes, collaborate with R&D, QA, and Production, develop documentation, and support technology transfer. A 5+ year background in pharma process engineering and a chemical/mechanical engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical process engineering or heavily regulated industries.
• Strong GMP knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Experience with validation, scale-up and technology transfer.
• Proficiency in process simulation or modeling is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment and process performance.
• Conduct process validation activities and generate validation reports.
• Perform root cause analysis for process deviations and implement CAPAs.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and scale-up.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, batch records, and engineering drawings.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Ensure GMP compliance and other regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
