Job summary

Fiza HealthCare seeks a seasoned Plant Head to lead pharmaceutical manufacturing operations from the West Africa facility. You will oversee plant administration, drive performance against targets, and manage capacity with a focus on cost control and quality.

The role demands 15+ years in plant operations, strong leadership, and in-depth knowledge of CGMP, EHS, and regulatory systems. You will collaborate with procurement, QA, and production to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Science, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in plant operations and administration.
• Strong leadership, planning, and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in implementing CGMP, EHS, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall administration and operational activities of the plant from the factory location.
• Ensure the plant's performance is regularly reviewed and aligned with company goals.
• Monitor and control plant profitability in line with targets committed to top management.
• Ensure optimum utilization of plant capacity; manage contract manufacturing as per monthly rolling production plans.
• Delegate responsibilities to team members and ensure proper execution.
• Participate in monthly rolling plans and coordinate resources like materials, manpower, and equipment.
• Identify training needs and initiate employee development programs across all levels.
• Maintain cordial and professional relationships with team members, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Plan and ensure timely availability of raw and packing materials for production.
• Ensure product delivery aligns with customer requirements in terms of quality, quantity, and packaging.
• Coordinate with procurement, quality, and production departments for smooth operations.
• Ensure full compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
• Adhere to cGMP and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Ensure effective implementation of CAPA, cleaning and sanitation protocols, and plant hygiene practices.
• Facilitate implementation of Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems.
• Review EHS performance regularly and track progress on safety initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to the organizations quality, health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Monitor ongoing projects and ensure timely execution as per schedule.
• Identify capital expenditure needs and get approvals from top management.
• Ensure readiness of plant infrastructure for future growth and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with HR for manpower planning, recruitment, and workforce development.
• Drive implementation of company policies and procedures across the plant.
