Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Engineer to join thePolokwane-based operations team. You will optimize and maintain pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensure GMP compliance, and drive continuous improvement across production lines.

The role requires a strong engineering background, hands-on experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and collaboration with QA, QC, and production to sustain high quality and efficiency in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of process engineering/manufacturing experience in pharma.
• Solid understanding of pharma manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Experience with GMP and regulatory compliance in pharma.
• Experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and calibration of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Implement process improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new or modified equipment and processes.
• Ensure GMP, safety regulations, and environmental standards are followed.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operations.
