Job summary

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, seeks an experienced Plant Operator for its Platreef concentrator in Limpopo. The role focuses on monitoring and adjusting plant parameters, maintaining reliable reporting, and taking corrective actions to ensure production targets and safety standards are met.

The successful candidate has extensive experience in PGM production plants, is prepared to work shifts, and holds a valid SA driving license with medical fitness to obtain a certificate.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 as a minimum qualification.
• Valid South African driving license.
• Computer literate with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
• Valid medical certificate or medical fitness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the plant per shift cycle.
• Adjust plant parameters to meet shift targets.
• Maintain reporting and communication systems.
• Take corrective actions to prevent deviations in processing.
• Ensure adherence to work schedules by all team members.
• Conduct area inspections and general housekeeping.
• Adhere to SHE and OHS practices and HR policies.
