Job summary

Valterra Platinum Limited is seeking a Maintenance Planner for the Mokopane site in Limpopo, South Africa. This fixed-term role (12 months) supports the Work Management process by ensuring resources are identified for approved work and planning is aligned with the Asset Management Framework.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in planned maintenance/production within mining, with SAP PM experience, Grade 12, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and valid driver’s license.
• Completed Planner Asset Management training modules or equivalent.
• 3–5 years planned maintenance or production experience in mining.
• Experience with SAP-based maintenance systems.
• Computer literacy with strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Work Management by identifying all required resources on the Work Order.
• Plan and execute the Plan Work element within the Operating Model and Asset Management Framework.
• Comply with quality specifications and authority levels.
• Review the Work Order Task Status Report daily to prioritize planning and track upcoming work.
• Plan approved work orders for resource provisioning and execution before the Required Date.
• Plan work to minimize impact on operating performance while meeting the Required Date.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
• Develop and use standard jobs to improve planning efficiency.
• Coordinate establishment of new materials (codification).
• Request updates/corrections to existing materials and services.
• Monitor warranties on equipment, parts and services.
• Coordinate returns of defective Repairable Units.
• Coordinate and administer Capital/Strategic Spares for site.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports detailing planned vs actual maintenance and resource usage.
• Ensure timely fulfillment of corporate financial accounting and asset protection requirements.
• Provide concise, timely oral and written information to management.
• Adhere to ERP standards and governance.
• Control equipment modification/plant changes.
• Maintain OEM documents for the Section Engineer.
• Engage early in SIB Projects and Procurement.
• Manage key reports and files.
