Job summary

Addiction Pet Foods in Te Puke, NZ is seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to run and monitor pet food production lines, focusing on extrusion as the primary process, with batching, loading and packing support. The role requires strict compliance with SOPs, GMP/HACCP, and health & safety rules to ensure safe, high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Experience in extrusion lines for food/pet food/FMCG preferred.
• Minimum 3 years extrusion experience.
• Forklift licence an advantage (must be licensed and authorised to operate onsite).
• Knowledge of GMP/HACCP, SOPs, and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines and monitor process parameters (temperature, moisture, pressure, speed).
• Weigh/load ingredients, premixes, and packaging materials per formulations.
• Perform start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns on assigned lines.
• Maintain accurate records and traceability; coordinate with QA and Warehouse.
