Job summary

Addiction Foods NZ Ltd. in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to run and monitor pet food production lines, with extrusion as the core duty. This hands-on role emphasizes SOPs, GMP/HACCP, and safety, delivering consistent output.

You will work across batching, loading, and packing, perform in-process checks, record data accurately, and participate in changeovers with a focus on quality, traceability, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Engineering course preferred.
• Minimum 3 years extrusion experience in food/pet food or FMCG.
• Forklift licence an advantage (if licensed and authorised to operate onsite).

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion primary lines and assist with batching/loading/packing per SOPs.
• Monitor process parameters (temperature, moisture, pressure, speed, weights) and adjust within limits.
• Maintain material flow and correct batch/recipe sequencing from start to finish.
• Record outputs, downtime, CCP/parameter logs and traceability forms accurately.
• Collaborate with QA, Warehouse, and Supervisors for handovers and targets.
