Hr Genie is seeking a dedicated Personal Lines Underwriter in Gauteng to manage underwriting for new business, renewals, and endorsements across a client portfolio. You will prepare quotations, review policy terms, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines while supporting the sales team to grow profitable business.

The role requires at least 4 years of personal lines underwriting experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Underwrite personal lines policies including new business, renewals and endorsements.
• Quotations and policy amendments are prepared and reviewed.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite personal lines policies (new business, renewals, endorsements).
• Prepare and review quotations for clients.
• Ensure underwriting activities follow guidelines and procedures.
• Support sales by retaining profitable business.
• Process policy documentation accurately and maintain electronic records.
• Negotiate renewal terms and prepare renewal documents.
• Conduct renewal reviews and retention calculations within timelines.
• Arrange and monitor required surveys.
• Address client queries and cover requests.
• Ensure accurate policy ratings to avoid overexposure.
• Resolve customer queries to ensure excellent service.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence.
