Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to conduct rigorous security assessments across systems, applications, and cloud environments. This fully remote contract role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities before exploitation and delivering actionable reports.

You will plan, execute, and document tests, collaborate with security teams, and stay current with testing methodologies and tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or offensive security role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and web application security.
• Experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Kali Linux.
• Experience in scripting (Python, Bash) for automating security tasks.

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on penetration tests across various platforms, including web applications, networks, and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or in a similar offensive security role.


• Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and web application security.


• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.


• Experience in scripting (Python, Bash) for automating security tasks.


• Knowledge of cloud security principles and common vulnerabilities in AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly regarded.
