Job summary

Placements24 in Port Elizabeth is seeking a compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team. You will assess and treat children with developmental, sensory, or motor challenges, delivering in-clinic and telehealth sessions to support independence and quality of life.

The role requires SA registration and at least 3 years of pediatric OT experience, plus strong knowledge of child development and sensory integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current registration and licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Africa.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a pediatric occupational therapist.
• Proficiency in conducting telehealth sessions and familiarity with digital platforms.
• Strong knowledge of child development and sensory integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy assessments to identify developmental, sensory, motor, and functional challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using a range of therapeutic techniques.
• Provide both in-person and telehealth sessions to children across various ages.
• Educate and train parents and caregivers on strategies to support development and independence at home.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic child care.
