Placements24 invites a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga to join our client in delivering comprehensive pediatric care to infants, children and adolescents. The role blends on-site clinical duties with potential remote follow-up tasks in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialization.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as RN and Advanced Practice Nurse (PNP).
• Minimum of 5 years of pediatrics experience as an RN, with at least 2 years as a PNP.
• Extensive knowledge of pediatric health, illnesses, development, and best practices in pediatric nursing.
• Proficiency in examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and empathetic skills with children and families.
• Experience with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable healthcare provider in **Nelspruit, Mpumalanga**, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to enhance their pediatric care services. This role focuses on providing comprehensive healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents, from routine check-ups and immunizations to the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses. The PNP will work collaboratively with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals, utilizing advanced practice nursing skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and developmental screenings, for pediatric patients.
• Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses and injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, prescribing medications and therapies within the scope of practice.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from an accredited program.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse (PNP).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in pediatrics, with at least 2 years of experience as a PNP.
• Extensive knowledge of pediatric health, common illnesses, developmental stages, and best practices in pediatric nursing.
• Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans for children.
