Job summary

The Good Human (Pty) Ltd in Johannesburg is seeking a Payroll Officer to update and process payroll accurately, on time and in line with policies and statutory requirements. You will handle payments to employees and third parties and contribute to monthly and annual reporting.

Applicants should have Matric (NQF 4) and a two-year payroll administration diploma (or equivalent), strong communication skills in English, solid computer literacy and dexterity, and at least five years’ payroll

Qualifications

• Matric (NQF 4) and a two-year payroll administration diploma (or equivalent).
• Proficient communication in verbal and written English.
• Good computer literacy and manual dexterity.
• At least five years’ experience in payroll administration.

Responsibilities

• Update and process the payroll accurately, on time and strictly in terms of company policies and statutory requirements.
• Process payments to employees and 3rd parties accurately.
• Prepare and submit reconciliations on time, and complete manual journal when necessary.
• Assist to fulfil monthly and annual reporting requirements.
• Impress internal and external customers with professional and friendly service, and relevant information on current trends and practices.
• Identify and resolve problems, and help to maintain competence, motivation and continuous improvements in the payroll department.
• Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards consistently and accurately.
