Job summary

BVSA Swellendam is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll services for external clients and support the payroll team. The role requires proven experience across diverse industries and a strong command of PaySpace and SA payroll legislation.

You will supervise payroll clerks, liaise with clients, handle EMP201/EMP501, UIF, COIDA, and ensure accurate, timely processing. Starting date is as soon as possible; BVSA is a family business with national presence.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Payroll, Accounting, HR or a related field.
• Minimum three years of payroll experience, including managing external clients.
• Strong practical PaySpace experience and knowledge of SA payroll regulations.

BVSA Swellendam is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to manage payroll services for external clients and support our payroll team.

Proven experience managing payroll for a wide variety of external clients across different industries and business sizes is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process and manage clients' payrolls using PaySpace.
• Handle EMP201 returns, EMP501 reconciliations and IRP5 certificates.
• Manage UIF and COIDA/Compensation Fund matters.
• Liaise with clients, resolve queries and provide payroll advice.
• Supervise and support payroll clerks, review their work and ensure accuracy, compliance and timely processing.
• A relevant qualification in Payroll, Accounting, HR or a related field.
• At least three years' relevant payroll experience, including managing a wide variety of external clients.
• Strong practical PaySpace experience.
• Sound knowledge of South African payroll legislation and statutory submissions.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and confidential information.
