A payroll services provider is seeking an experienced payroll manager to oversee monthly payroll processing and compliance with South African laws. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, a recognized payroll qualification, and proficiency in Sage 300. Responsibilities include managing payroll queries, leave administration, and preparing payroll reports for multiple departments. This role is essential for accurate payroll management of a workforce under 150 employees.

Scope of Work

Expected to use Sage 300 Payroll and offer the following services:

1. Full monthly payroll processing for all staff members and independent contractors (classifiers).

2. Management of:

  • Payroll queries
  • Leave administration
  • Ad hoc payroll matters

3. Compliance with applicable South African labour laws and tax regulations, including for independent contractors.

4. Support on Sage 300 ESS (Employee Self Service).

5. Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly payroll reports to both Human Capital and Finance units.

6. Management of a payroll base consisting of fewer than 150 employees, including independent contractors.
