Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Officer to join the People Support Department in Kraaifontein. You will handle accurate monthly payrolls for hourly and salaried staff, administer payroll, benefits, and leave systems, and ensure timely and compliant payroll processing.

You will load new hires in SAGE 300 People, handle terminations, reconciliations and provide support across payroll and benefit queries.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification required.
• Approximately 3 years' payroll experience.
• Experience with SAGE 300 People preferred.
• Experience processing hourly and salaried payroll.
• Intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, timeous payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff.
• Administer payroll, benefits, and leave systems accurately.
• Process earnings, deductions, and allowances.
• Load new employees onto SAGE 300 People.
• Process terminations and update hierarchies in Sage ESS.
• Prepare PAYE, UIF, SDL reconciliations and payroll reports.
• Assist with benefit administration and provider queries.
• Ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
