Job summary

TP South Africa is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing and time & attendance information, while ensuring employees receive a professional payroll service.

In this role you will handle new hires, terminations, leave, payslips and payroll inquiries with strict confidentiality in a deadline-driven environment. Sage 300 People experience is essential, and Excel proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Finance, HR, Payroll, Administration, Management or a related field is essential.
• Minimum 2 years' proven payroll administration experience.
• Sage 300 People experience and/or training is essential.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Processing and administering payroll data on Sage 300 People, including manual and bulk uploads.
• Processing new employee and termination information.
• Processing employee leave, maternity and paternity documentation.
• Preparing and distributing payslips.
• Collecting, calculating and capturing payroll information accurately.
• Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Responding to payroll-related queries via telephone and email.
• Managing and maintaining the payroll mailbox.
• Providing accurate and timely payroll information to employees and stakeholders.
• Ensuring payroll activities are completed in accordance with policies, procedures and payroll processing deadlines.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.
• Supporting the payroll team with additional activities and requirements as needed.
