Job summary

Postbank (SOC) Ltd is seeking a Payments Industry Specialist to represent the bank in national payment forums and influence industry decisions. You will monitor regulatory developments, guide internal teams on compliance, and lead documentation and reporting for governance and audit purposes.

You will develop and maintain SOPs for LV/EFT processes, coordinate industry testing, and provide timely incident support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or NQF6 in Banking, Financial Information Systems, Commercial or related field required.
• Postgraduate degree or diploma preferred for advanced roles.
• Professional certifications in payments highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Represent Postbank in national payment forums, ensuring the bank’s views are communicated and industry decisions influenced.
• Review regulatory developments and ensure compliance across the organization; provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to management; maintain Bilateral Agreements and ensure audit readiness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for LV/EFT-related processes to ensure operational consistency and compliance across the Payments & Interbank BU.
• Coordinate and facilitate industry testing requests; support LV/EFT incidents with root cause analysis and stakeholder communication.
• Liaise with other BUs to ensure smooth communication and cross-functional collaboration on P&I activities.
