Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Cape Town seeks an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong pavement background to deliver roads, highways and pavement projects. You will join a team of engineers and technologists responsible for investigations, design, construction support and technical reviews.

Ideal candidates hold a BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering, are or will be ECSA registered, and have 5+ years in pavements, with SANRAL/municipal exposure. Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and MS Project is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in civil engineering with pavement focus.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr Eng or in process.
• 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering with pavements/roads.
• Experience on large roads infrastructure projects (SANRAL, provincial, municipal).
• Knowledge of pavement design, materials investigations, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pavement investigations, condition assessments, and surveys.
• Perform pavement design, calculations, and technical reporting.
• Review submissions, drawings, and specifications for compliance.
• Provide construction supervision and contract administration support.
• Support client delivery and project budgeting.
