Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Pretoria team. The role focuses on design, supervision, and quality control of road and pavement projects in an office-based setting.

The ideal candidate will have a National Diploma or B-Tech in Civil Engineering Technology, 4+ years of road/pavement experience, and be registered or eligible for ECSA Technologist registration. CAD and pavement design software proficiency is required.

Qualifications

National Diploma or B-Tech in Civil Engineering Technology required.
At least 4 years of relevant road and pavement design/construction experience.
Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA as Technologist.
Proficient in CAD software and familiar with pavement design software.
Knowledge of materials science and road construction methods.
Strong organizational and site supervision skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare design drawings, specifications, and schedules for road and pavement projects.
Conduct material testing and quality control on construction sites.
Assist in planning and supervision of road construction activities.
Perform site investigations and surveys for new road developments and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with transportation engineering standards and specifications.
Prepare technical reports on project progress and findings.
